A Hail from Hades
Hello, readers! It’s me, Hades. It’s the Sunday before Halloween, and all is well here at Rotors and Carrots (or whatever VonD calls this place).
I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed Anniston’s annual Neewollah event yesterday. We had so many visitors to our (well, *my*) shop who were all dressed up for the occasion. Most of them were kids, sure, but there were several adults, too. Von D came to some of them and presented herself for pets, while I watched quietly from my resting place. She claimed a few posts ago that she would snicker at costumed adults, but I know perfectly well that she didn’t. She was too busy sleeping after she had her fill of their attention, as she does. So don’t let her tell you otherwise later!
Another important thing that’s going on around here, besides Halloween, is our second Night of Ukulele, which is happening on Tuesday, October 28th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. We’ll be hosting a bunch of great ukulele players who’ll be playing an awesome spooky set list. So if you’re a ukulele player, come join us that night with your instrument! And if you’re not a player, but you still enjoy ukulele music, we’d love to have you, too. We’re going to have such a fantastic time together. Oh, and there will also be a Halloween costume contest that night. Costumes encouraged, but not required!
So that’s what’s going on here right now. I can’t wait for the music, to tell you the truth. I’m also definitely looking forward to Halloween itself. We’re all decorated nice and spooky here and so ready for the holiday. There’s sure to be some mischief for me to get into between now and then. Come on by to bear witness to it when you get a chance. All right, gang, stay spooky and have a safe and happy Halloween.
Until next time, this is Hades, signing off!
